Colin Green and Katy Parrott from Physio Matters braved “The Beast from the East” to travel over to Liverpool on 28th February 2018 to talk to the Headway Liverpool group on Exercise, Fitness and Brain Injury. It was a really interesting trip after a 2.5 hour journey on train in the snow to be greeted by icy winds in the centre of Liverpool.
Jeanne Evans, Partner, Headway Liverpool asked Physio Matters to talk at the regular group meeting. The presentation was very well received and prompted much discussion amongst attendees regarding what constituted an ‘active’ lifestyle.
Colin said: “It was very interesting to discuss goals and fitness objectives with the group members. Our advice was for everyone to make one small exercise or activity goal and aim to achieve that first, then build on it step by step to improve your fitness at your own pace.”
Following the event, Jeanne commented: “I thought it was great – lots of participation from the group which was lovely to listen to. Thank you very much for your support, I really appreciate your taking time out to support us at Headway Liverpool. I will certainly ask you to speak to us again, but next time when the weather is better!”
