Physio Matters have launched a new PPE Safety Video showing the range of measures we take to protect our clients and our team from COVID-19.
The video explains each of the PPE safety precautions we use – such as hand sanitisers, masks, gloves, face shields and aprons – and offers practical demonstrations from our Clinical Director Colin Green and Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist Kirsty Agnew.
Reassuring vulnerable clients
Kirsty said: “Many of our clients are vulnerable to Coronavirus due to their neurological conditions. We felt it was important to reassure them, their family and carers that we take their safety very seriously. Using a video to communicate this is a good way to get the message across clearly.
Our physios use all the PPE available during our treatment sessions with clients, putting it on before we enter a house, garden or other premises, and taking it off and disposing of it responsibly once we leave. The video clearly shows what we use and explains why. Clients can see this and be reassured that we are doing everything we can to protect them, as well as our team.”
Following clinical guidance
Director Colin Green added: “At Physio Matters, we are using PPE as recommended by Public Health England and closely following the clinical guidelines laid down by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP). We believe it is vital to follow the professional bodies’ advice and keep everyone safe at this time.”
The video is 4 minutes long and was created by Stockport-based company Viaduct Video who we have worked with many times to create a range of Physio Matters videos about our clients and events.
We also say ‘thank you’ in the video to Scrubs Hub – Bury, Oldham, Rochdale for making all the scrubs our physiotherapists wear and which are featured.
