Physio Matters’ third Spotlight Webinar will explore reduced insight after brain injury, with special guest speaker Louise Sheffield, Clinical Case Manager and Director at Active Case Management.
Louise will explore how a client with a brain injury can experience barriers to engaging in rehabilitation due to reduced insight into what has happened to them and the extent to which this affects their abilities, cognition and awareness of the full impact of their injury. The webinar will take place on Wednesday 27 January 2021 from 12.00pm – 1.00pm. Louise will be joined in conversation by Physio Matters’ team members Colin Green, Clinical Director and Elaine O’Flaherty, Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist.
Enhancing client engagement in rehabilitation
Louise will consider how ABI professionals can identify and address this common problem, and what approaches can be used to enhance a client’s engagement in rehabilitation.
She will explore:
- how to identify and improve insight after brain injury
- a model to measure insight which professionals can use as a bench-line against which to measure a client’s insight in future
- client case studies and current examples
This will be an interactive session with practical examples and lots of room for discussion.
