To support Brain Injury Awareness Week which started on 20th May, Physio Matters took part in the NWABI Network’s Hats for Headway Day to raise money for brain injury charity Headway – with a Wild West theme!
NWABI is the North West Acquired Brain Injury group which meets twice a year. It brings together voluntary, public and private sector organisations who specialise in providing services for brain injured adults and children to learn more about the work and projects members are involved with.
Attendees were invited to wear Wild West themed hats and make a donation to Headway for taking part. The event was supported by sponsors Prestige Nursing and JMW Solicitors.
As a regular attendee, Physio Matters took a stand at the event and the physio team joined in the fun of the Wild West theme.
Katy Parrott, Team Co-ordinator at Physio Matters said: “It’s a very enjoyable event. It’s good to meet the wide range of people who attend, whether they are clients who are living with a head injury, their families, or case managers, therapists and solicitors who work in this area. NWABI gives us a unique opportunity to network and meet new contacts, as well as support a very good cause.”
The NWABI Network Group is a non-profit making organisation which connects voluntary, public and private sector organisations and individuals who specialise in providing services for brain injured adults and children in the North West of England.
