The time has come to say farewell to our Communications Intern, Alice!
Leaving very big shoes to fill, Alice has now accepted a new full-time role as Marketing Leader at Blackburn Yarn Dyers in preparation for the completion of her Master’s degree.
Alice began her internship at Physio Matters in January, working one day a week alongside her studies in MSc Creative Advertising at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Since joining our team, Alice, along with Dr Jane Tonge, has been working tirelessly to help showcase the work we do. Managing social media, organising and assisting with events and much more, all to ensure we can present our business to the public as well as we present ourselves to our clients and colleagues.
We couldn’t be more thankful for all of Alice’s hard work while at Physio Matters. It has been a pleasure working with her.
Before leaving us, Alice was kind enough to summarise her time spent with us at Physio Matters.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Physio Matters. On my first day I immediately felt at home as the team were very friendly and welcoming. The most rewarding thing about this internship was that I developed my skills whilst working. For instance, I wrote several news stories which helped my writing skills, which I then would schedule and post on social media. I also got to write some press releases which was very helpful for me as I’d say my experience on this was limited compared to other areas. There’s been a range of events to organise, as well as liaise with several working professionals such as videographers, so there’s always something new and exciting to do each week.”
Alice added: “Although I was helping the business, everyone at Physio Matters was very open and understanding of anything I wanted to do to increase my personal skills. I have gained experience in digital marketing, communications and PR and worked on a variety of tasks. And it’s also been very fun!”
Thank you and good luck in your next chapter, Alice!
All the best from us at Physio Matters.
