Conference on Motivational Interviewing with Dr David Manchester

“An Introduction to Motivational Interviewing and Brain Injury Rehabilitation”

Brainwaves is delighted to announce a 1-day Conference on Thursday 2 May 2019 with international speaker and expert Dr David Manchester, Clinical Psychologist and Director of MLR Psychology Consultants, Sydney, Australia.

Dr Manchester has over 20 years’ experience in hospital and community rehabilitation psychology. He provides neuropsychological assessment, training and consulting services for MLR Psychology Consultants in Sydney and is Principal Psychologist at St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Darlinghurst where he consults on the medical rehabilitation wards.

Dr Manchester has a particular interest in positive behaviour support and motivational interviewing when a person’s cognitive functioning is an issue. Motivational interviewing is an empathic evidence-based approach to helping a person change behaviour. He has also published on the subjects of brain injury rehabilitation and motivational interviewing.
